It's been a couple weeks since I've updated. I try to keep this blog up for friends and family, mostly for those that live away and want to keep up with O. That's why I do so many "look what O can do" updates...it's for the aunties, uncles, grammies & grampies of O.
I put up a video of O repeating his alphabet a few weeks ago. The computer would say a letter and then he would repeat it. I can't believe how quickly he picks up on things now! In a short couple weeks he's gone from repeating the alphabet to knowing that some letters come after others, to being able to recite almost the whole alphabet on his own without help! He just walks around doing whatever saying "L M N O P...".
He has trouble with remembering a few letters. He can do "A B C D" but he mostly likes to start with "H" and will go until "S". That's 12 letters in a row! Then he knows "X Y Z(ee)" go together. We also like to play a game where I start the alphabet with "A" and he says the next letter "B" and we keep going back and forth to the end. Very smart cookie :)
He also can spell the letters in words (as long as their uppercase). So, he'll take a book and call out the letters in the name or he'll randomly walk up to cars and call out the letters in their license plate, lol.
He also knows certain numbers go together. He doesn't start at 1 though. He prefers to start at 5 or 6 and will go to 10.
He'll be ready for kindergarden tomorrow :)
I'm going to be starting to move him from his crib to a half bed (his crib converts to one, then a double bed) in the fall. I just can't believe how quick he's growing up now!
